Este espaço tem por objetivo fornecer subsídios para o conhecimento da fortuna crítica e da situação atual dos estudos dickinsonianos no Brasil e, eventualmente, em Portugal e outros países lusófonos, disponibilizando informações sobre a recepção da obra literária de Emily Dickinson, tais como traduções, livros, artigos em periódicos, teses e dissertações, eventos etc., além de dar acolhida a manifestações de interesse dos leitores e pesquisadores.         Registramos o nosso reconhecimento pelo trabalho pioneiro do pesquisador norte-americano George Monteiro (Brown University), que esteve na Universidade de São Paulo (1969-70) como Professor Fullbright e deu início ao levantamento da bibliografia ativa e passiva referente à obra de Dickinson entre nós, bem como pelas contribuições do poeta, tradutor e bibliógrafo brasileiro Vinicius Dantas, da professora e pesquisadora portuguesa Maria Helena de Paiva Correia (Universidade de Lisboa) e do poeta e tradutor brasileiro José Lira, cujas valiosas informações foram decisivas para a concretização deste projeto. Agradecemos também a nossa webmaster Neide Leiko Takemoto Matsumoto, que sempre nos atendeu com presteza e muita paciência.

        The objective of this site is to present the state of the art in Dickinson studies in Brazil and, possibly, in Portugal and other Portuguese speaking countries, making available information about the reception of Emily Dickinson’s literary work, including translations, books, articles in scholarly journals, magazines and newspapers, theses and dissertations, conferences, etc., in addition to contributions which might be of value to readers and scholars.         We hereby register our recognition of the pioneering work of the American scholar George Monteiro (Brown University), who was a Fullbright Professor at the University of São Paulo (1969-70) and started the bibliographical survey of both primary and secondary sources related to Dickinson’s work among us. We are also grateful to the Brazilian poet, translator and bibliographer Vinicius Dantas, to the Portuguese professor and scholar Maria Helena de Paiva Correia (University of Lisbon), and to the Brazilian poet and translator José Lira, whose assistance was of invaluable importance in the realization of this project.
